Itinerary : 7 Day Tour – on the 6-day tour we ommit the overnight stop at Lamberts Bay.
Day one….Leave Cape Town and travel along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, through the Westcoast National Park-visit Langebaan Lagoon , the most picturesque in the country , the Postberg Wildflower Reserve-check out the tremendous Wildlife in the Reserve , stay overnight at a wonderful Guesthouse / Countryclub at Langebaan , or Saldanha Bay .
Day two… Following morning drive through to Saldanha Bay-Vredenburg-Laaiplek , and along the coast, check for Southern Right Whales, and its variety of Mesembryanthemaceae and Daisy’s , to Lamberts Bay-visit the Bird Island , and stay overnight at a Guesthouse / Protea Hotel .
Day Three..After breakfast leave for Doring Bay-Lutzville-Vredendal-visit the Winecellars and the SAD in the town. Drive through to Van Rhynsdorp , at the edge of Namaqualand . Continue via Garies to Kamieskroon for overnight at the Kamieskroon Hotel, we stay two nights here .
Day Four … After a leisurely breakfast we spend the day exploring the Skilpad National Park (Namaqualand National Park) and its unending fields of dreams and splendour of Wild Flowers . Return to our Hotel for a relaxed early evening , with the firmament of stars above you , see the intire Milkyway , from one side to the other side .
Day five….Continue to Springbok, the capital of Namaqualand , visit the mineral wealth of this region before the flowers come out . Drive through to Nababeeb and to the Goegap Nature Reserve , with Namaqualands Natural Riches in this 15000 ha Reserve Visit also The Hester Malan Wild Flower Garden , with its spectacular array of Wild Flowers . Return to the Springbok Hotel for the night .
Day six…..Leave early morning for Leliefontein and Niewouldville , and its display of Wild Flowers .Continue via the spectacular Van Rhyns Pass to Clanwilliam for overnight at a wonderful Guesthouse or the Strassberger Hotel .
Day seven..After breakfast visit the Wildflowershow and the Ramskop Wildflower Reserve , overlooking the Clanwilliam Dam. Continue through the Citrusplantations along the Olifants River Valley to Citrusdal for the Finbos Exhibition. Continue to Darling and its unique Wild Flowershow and its display of Wildflowers in the fields . Return to Cape Town , via Atlantis and the ever present view of the magnificent Table Mountain before you .
Arrive in Cape Town with the wonderful feeling of having seen the most natural , undisturbed , unspoiled ,and colourful environment of South Africa, an indescribable beauty , that Nature repeats every Year for us to behold , protect and conserve for Years to come .
